In the article we examined some software for the disabled. After examination we found that there is no multimedia control program for people with severe physical and speech disabilities. Therefore we introduced a system adapted for the disabled. By this system a user can listen to or view media files using only one key from keyboard. The main features of the program: image and video files viewer, music file playback. The software allows the user to view images (.jpg format) and video files (.mpeg, .avi and .wmv formats) and listen to selected audio files (.mp3 and .wav formats). The main feature is the possibility to control program by one “Enter” key. The program is adapted for the disabled living in Lithuania, for a person who does not know any foreign languages and encounters usage difficulties. We hope that this system will help people with disabilities to control multimedia files easer. |
