Abstract [eng] Preschool education reform in Lithuania started in the eighth decade of XXc., therefore today it has already become history. Reform process requires a particular scientific evaluation and empirical-analytical studies. The review of science works by O. Monkevičienė on the topic “Technologies of implementation of content of reformed preschool (self)education and teacher training” and scientific report discussed during the committee of habilitation procedure in the meeting of the Senate of Vilnius Pedagogical University provides an opportunity to verify theoretically and empirically the ideas, proceedings, processes, results of Lithuanian preschool education reform. The author of the report was one of the first strategists, participants of Lithuanian preschool education reform who experienced and felt challenges of reformers, so her scientific-empirical research is convincing in both methodological and praxeological senses.
