Abstract [eng] The paper reveals tendencies of reflecting on personal experiences and their integration in practical studies in a higher school by students, prospective special educators. Empirical data was collected by the method of a written survey (a closed questionnaire was used). 389 university students on the study program Special Education were surveyed. The results of the research revealed that students understand the importance of reflecting on personal experiences in practical studies at the university; however, the reflection on activities and/or reflection for activities is not typical of the students. Acting in accordance with standardised guidelines causes manifestations of the students' pseudo-reflection, which manifests itself by the interpretation of situations which were not actually experienced in practice.
