Abstract [eng] A human being of postmodernist culture has various possibilities to get different information very fast. Mass media is a powerful tool that shapes the society’s vision of different events that are sometimes broadcasted in order to reach wider audience. Mass media usually leads the thoughts of the audience in the way they want, and therefore most of the readers do not even realize the importance of the presented events in the real life. This research paper deals with the articles from the daily newspaper the “Lietuvos rytas” that describe facts about educator’s reality. This paper analyzes the image of the educators formed by the mass media, which can impact the opinion of the society about these specialists. The results of qualitative analysis allow drawing a conclusion that the daily paper the “Lietuvos rytas” highlights facts that are unexpected to the reader and stimulate further reading. Usually the negative image of an educator is formed by presenting the information about unfavorable characters or occupational mistakes made by the specialists.
