Abstract [eng] The aim of this paper is to review tendencies in women’s literature under men‘s dictatorship of popculture. The author of the paper focuses on texts written by women as a cultural phenomenon of gender representations, means of moral and self-awareness realisation, which lead to effective cultural adaptation. The article is based upon the novels of nine different writers and includes twele novels by Ivanauskaite, Barauskaite, Cepaite, Zukauskaite, Pukelyte, Janusyte, Urbonaite, Seredaite and Vaitkeviciute. Theese texts are different representation from conservative outlook to women’s literature with creative work of a woman seeking liberation. The paper explores the subtle and complex significance of women body and life in contemporary women’s fiction and examines the multiple metaphors associated with women themes, making powerful connections between popculture, mens’ dictatorship, sexual desire, self identity and representation. Simultaneously, some recurring and marketable themes are pointfully compiled. The article draws on feminist and sociology of literature theories, pointedly to the main changes in literary priorities: documentary forms of literature, autofiction, main figure – women, changing addressee in the process of communication, changed stylistics (fragmentation, broken plot, slang, details intensifying a recognizable effect etc.) – are discussed in the paper.
