Abstract [eng] In this article the implementation of the P-PI variable structure velocity controller’s best changeover time dependence on the static load applying Lookup Table is investigated. The model of the direct current electric drive with P-PI variable structure velocity controller is formed by using MATLAB/Simulink software. The simulation results demonstrate that P-PI variable structure velocity controller implemented with Lookup Table ensures the dynamic velocity error of the direct current electric drive not exceeding ± 5% and the zero steady- state velocity error. The results of comparison of dynamic quality of the direct current electric drive demonstrate that when using P-PI variable structure velocity controller the obtainable dynamic quality is better by up to 83% in comparison to the fixed structure PI velocity controller, but it is worse by up to 14% in comparison to the PI-P-PI variable structure velocity controller.
