Abstract [eng] |
Christian education of children in a family, foster family, school etc. becomes a serious problem in Lithuania. Firstly, because of lack of traditions; secondly because of poor integration to the educational system of the Western world (mostly Christian countries) with new ideas, and finally because of poor attention of our educologists to this field. Published textbooks of hodegetics, monographs and collections of scientific articles prove that. Lithuanian authors of hodegetics (scientific theory of upbringing) seldom give attention to the Christian education of children. Most often hodegetics has an tendency to eliminate religious education.. One more problem – scientists of hodegetics follow theoretical pluralism. It means that some ideas, taken from different theories, are mixed together. In the science of education it can be named as prolonged eclectics. The idea of this article – to restore doctrines of Christian education, to analyze them homogeneously, and to show vitality and creativeness of each of them. Achievements of Thomism, Neothomism, Christian Existentialism and Personalism in the field of education is a good precondition for the Lithuanian religious hodegetics to become mature and original. |
