The aim of the research is to establish how various factors influence the quality of life of persons who suffered a spinal cord injury. The research was carried out in 2007–2008 in Monciškės, at the Landscape Therapy and Recreation Centre of the Lithuanian Paraplegic Association. 72 persons with a spinal cord injury were surveyed: 56 men and 16 women. The results of the research demonstrated that age, gender and physical activity have an influence on the quality of life of persons with a spinal cord injury. The duration of the injury didn’t have an essential influence on the quality of life of these persons. |
