Abstract [eng] The Modernist version of Sruoga's lyrics, which was moulded between the poetics of Romanticism and Expressionism is stylistically heterogeneous and marks the general paradigm of the early Lithuanian Modernism. Employing abundant solar symbols Sruoga established links with the Russian Symbolism and expressed a person's essential values: spirituality, idealistic aestheticism, ritualism and mythoiogism. Solar symbolism and meanings were essential to Sruoga are collected in his introductory poem Prooemion. It unfolds the fundamental value dominants of his poetic world view. The sun becomes a synonym of creative work. Sruoga initiated a new tradition of erotic lyrical verse in Lithuanian poetry with the erotic parallel of the sun / soul in his poems the parallel of the sun and its rays versus the soul and spirit is tightly interwoven with the semantic of blossom, blooming, and flower, Sruoga employs them in order to express the subconscious spiritual processes, which become exposed in dreams. The erotic parallelism of the sun/spirit is closely interrelated with the motifs of love and the beloved. The accents of solar poetics in Sruoga's poems are transferred from folkioric connotations to philosophical problems of culture in general. This shows that early Modernism in Lithuania with its worldview was not much different from European world view in modernism. Yet from the point of view of expression'it was not homogeneous, but polystylistic, loaded with different: influences, and at the same time seeking its own unique manners of speech.
