| Abstract [eng] | This article aims at introducing the first planned offensive military operation (spring 1919) conducted by the civil and military authorities of Lithuania, with the aim to recapture the capital of Lithuania, Vilnius, from the Bolsheviks, who had captured it on 5 January 1919. To do so, archival materials, governmental documents, periodical materials, recollections by the contemporaries, and other materials were used. |
