Abstract [eng] Civil Liability of Manager in Case of Company Bancruptcy The new Law on Insolvency of Legal Entities, aimed to optimize bankruptcy and restructuring processes, has entered into force on 1 January 2020. However, the new law did not resolve the problem of applying manager's civil liability in the context of company bankruptcy. Therefore, the main objective of this master’s thesis was to investigate and evaluate the conditions of the manager's civil liability in case of bankruptcy, Presenting this phenomenon in the context of the problematic issues (to be precise, the previously mentioned context consists of any failure to initiate timely bankruptcy proceedings and actions leading to bankruptcy). The analysis reveals that the least regulated issues in practice are related to the two conditions of manager's civil liability: guilt and causation. Although serious issues regarding the manager's civil liability in case of bankruptcy arise not only from committed damage and unlawful acts alone, the Lithuanian courts still devote significantly more attention to the resolution of these two problems. As for the theoretical level, all of the four conditions are provided with sufficient attention and possible problem-solving options.
