Abstract [eng] Termination of an Employment Contract at the Initiative of an Employee SUMMARY The termination of employment on the initiative of employees is the most common job the basis for the termination of the contract. Though at first glance and it seems like this work contract. The ending ground is simple and does not pose any legal and practical problems, but more careful. Having reviewed the practice of the Republic of Lithuania and the Supreme Court of Lithuania, it is evident that there are various uncertainties regarding the observance of the terms of the warning, the expression of the duty, the identification of the relevant reasons. This work explores in detail all possible ways of termination of an employment contract. The master's thesis consists of an introduction, four sections and conclusions analyzing the way of termination of an employment contract on the initiative of the employee are important reasons (Article 55 of the DL) and ways of termination of employment for important reasons (Article 56 of the DL of the Republic of Lithuania). Separately discussed the term and grounds of termination of an employment contract, as well as how the termination of an employment contract must be duly completed in order not to adversely affect the employee or the employer. The last chapter discusses individual labor disputes over the law, as well as overview of the case law on disputes arising from the termination of an employment contract on the initiative of the employee. In implementing the objectives of the Master's thesis, the law is widely examined, the comparative aspects of labor laws of some foreign countries are reviewed, the legal norms governing the similarity and differences are indicated. The conclusions of the work are presented taking into account the entire structure of the work and the actual edition.
