Abstract [eng] In the doctoral dissertation, an attempt is made to investigate the concepts of ANGER, FEAR and SHAME in Lithuanian linguistic worldview. The research is aimed at revealing what knowledge and experiences are underlying the usage of the names of emotions in Lithuanian as well as what lexical units are used by representatives of Lithuanian linguistic and cultural community to express and evaluate emotional well-being. The research is conducted using a complex research methodology, the core of which consists of the analytical-descriptive and adapted S-A-T method, used by Lublin ethnolinguistic researchers. The reconstruction of linguistic and cultural images of emotions of ANGRER, FEAR and SHAME is carried out by following the main theoretical assumptions of cognitive ethnolinguistics and the principles of language worldview reconstruction. In the dissertation brief psychological and philosophical portraits of emotions are presented, lexicographic data, proverbs and textual material (data of literary, public, political, ideological-historical and religious discourses), axiological images of emotions and conceptual metaphors are studied. On the basis of collected material, the conceptual categories of ANGER, FEAR and SHAME are restored, basic schemas of perception of the analysed emotions, referring to cognitive activities, and culturally attributed Lithuanian variants of these schemas – cognitive models – are revealed. The latter are complex systems of knowledge and experiences, evoked in the Lithuanian consciousness by using the lexical units and constructions belonging to lexical families of anger, fear and shame in a specific communication act and cultural context. After revealing the peculiarities and tendencies of the linguistic conceptualisation of ANGER, FEAR and SHAME, there are presented the cognitive definitions anger, fear and shame in Lithuanian.
