Abstract [eng] The main objectives of this study were the investigation of some aspects of polypyrrole layer formation and the evaluation of polypyrrole coatings with uric acid molecular imprints. The process of polypyrrole layer formation was investigated by quartz crystal microbalance and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy methods. After evaluation of results, a possible model for the formation process of polypyrrole coating was developed. Atomic force microscopy and scanning electron microscopy methods were applied to characterize surface morphologies of the formed layers. Polypyrrole coatings with uric acid molecular imprints were prepared during this study. Sensors with these coatings were evaluated using quartz crystal microbalance method – selectivity and sensitivity for the analyte were investigated.
