Abstract [eng] Factors contributing to average wage in EU-28 countries are analyzed in this master‘s thesis. The purpose of this thesis is to evaluate the impact of factors to average wage, after analyzing these factors in theoretical aspect. In the first part of the thesis the concept and functions of wage are defined and provided. In order to find out and present factors contributing to the change of wage, the analysis of scientific literature is made. Subsequently, an empirical research projects of these factors are analyzed. In the second part of the thesis, the methodology of valution of factors contributing to average wage in EU-28 countries is disclosed. The theoretical evaluation model of factors contributing to wage growth is discussed, stages of empirical modelling are detailed: justification of the research sample and period, classification of countries, detalization of indicators of factors contributing to wage growth, formulation of research hypotheses, consideration of stages of empirical research and methods of valuation, also naming of research limitations. In the third part of the thesis, trends of average wage, its contributing factors and the indicators reflecting these actions are analyzed in the European Union in general and groups of countries with different levels of development in the period 1995–2017. After developing the assessment model, a regression analysis of the factors contributing to change of average wage in EU-28 countries is performed and impact of these factors on groups of countries with different levels of development during the study period is determined. The results of the research confirmed that unemployment, infation and labor productivity have a significant impact on average wage in the EU-28. The impact of these factors differs in groups of countries with different levels of development in the European Uninion.
