Abstract [eng] The Master’s thesis presents an assessment of the impact of migration on employment. The aim of the thesis is to investigate the impact of emigration on employment. The objectives of the thesis are to select and theoretically substantiate the economic factors influencing employment, to develop an empirical model, to investigate the general impact of these factors on employment, and to distinguish the impact of emigration and immigration on employment. Research hypotheses: 1. Immigration has a statistically significant positive impact on employment. 2. Emigration has a statistically significant negative impact on employment. The analysis of scientific literature and documents allowed to select the main economic factors influencing employment, and empirical research allowed to determine their connections. Having summarised the results of the research, it became clear that there is no unequivocal opinion on migration. Some sources suggest that emigration and immigration increase employment, while others state the opposite. Research methodology included analysis of scientific literature and statistical data analysis. Statistical data analysis and the research were performed by Gretl programme. The object of the research is the impact of migration on employment. The results of this research showed that not all selected factors have a statistically significant impact on employment, while immigration has a statistically significant positive impact on employment, and emigration has a statistically significant negative impact on employment. The results of the research can be useful in shaping migration policy.
