The rapid aging process leads to situations where the elderly and the elderly can no longer take care of themselves, face health problems, and feel insecure. It is not uncommon for the elderly and the elderly to lose loved ones, making their social environment particularly narrow. These changes lead to the need to assess the quality of social services. This study aims to answer the problematic questions: how is the quality of social services for the old and the elderly assessed in Lithuania? What are the principles according to which social workers evaluate the quality of social services? The object of the research is the quality of social services provided to the old and the elderly according to the evaluation of social workers. The aim of the study is to analyze the quality assessment of social services provided to the old and the elderly in Lithuania. Tasks: 1. To analyze the quality system of social services and evaluation models by applying theoretical analysis. 2. To reveal the principles of quality of social services for the old and the elderly by applying qualitative research methods. 3. To identify the evaluation of the quality of social services provided to the old and the elderly in Lithuania. 4. Based on the analysis of the results of the empirical research, identify opportunities for improving the quality of social services for the old and the elderly. Summarizing the results of the written survey, it was found that the provided social services include a complex of social services. The aim is to create an environment for older people where they can feel safer, where they can be cared for. Attention is also paid to the nutrition, hygiene, home care, organized leisure and social activities of the elderly. The assessment of the quality of social services takes into account the competence of employees providing social services, the evaluation, improvement and publication of the results of activities and service quality, and ensuring the satisfaction of individual needs of service users and continuity of services. In view of the consequences of the pandemic, social institutions would like to see greater and closer cooperation with health institutions, comprehensive training could be provided, and guidelines could be provided on how to work specifically in care institutions during the quarantine period, as each institution sends recommendations according to its field of activity. |
