With reference to academic literature analysis, social worker, when working with the family, invokes the existential social work model which is based on Christian values, sympathy for the other, is distinguished with situational and personal analysis, problem identification and the most suitable decision making. The family, which decides to foster the child, is motivated by internal motifs such as self-realization, will to help other children, whether the motifs are related to biologic children. Relationships with the child, bigger financial payments and guarantees can be attributed to external motifs. 2. With reference to the received results of the qualitative study it can be stated that the social worker, when working with the guardians, the fostered children of which do not have any health problems, apply general social services: consultation, information, motivational analysis, mediation, meanwhile when working with the guardians, the foster-children (wards) of which have health problems, invoke not only general social services, but also special services: organize specific trainings with reference to the foster-children’s (ward’s) health problems, apply the service of deep breath, objective services to the guardian family, provide bigger guarantees for the guardians. 3. After analysing the received data of the study, it can be stated that the social worker, on purpose of maintaining the motifs of future guardian families, applies the services of motivational conversation, consultations, collaborates with other social institutions. They inform them about successful stories of the child’s care. 4.
