Characters of the collection – they are individual and distinct. They are us with the possession of the freedom of self-expression. Body is not only an example of a perfectly functioning mechanism. It can be reconstructed into forms that would then become platforms for playing and creative experimenting. Collection of graphic works does not portray people, although forms of presented works might raise associations with reality. Individual interpretation of reality is being presented by playing with generalized silhouettes. Created characters are symbols of people, who have the courage to be themselves, courage to live their life. Courage is pronounced as the main unit of measurement for the quality of life. It is what allows one to be true, distinct and strong. Inner states, such as loneliness, feeling of being left out, sadness, alienation and contemplation are being emphasized. Also, a problem relevant in nowadays life is revealed – the loss of one's true self and the search for it. |
