This master thesis analyses implementation of entrepreneurship promotion policy in Akmenė district rural communities. Theoretical part of the thesis analyses Lithuanian and foreign author‘s insights about conception of rural communities, various definitions of community, rural community and entrepreneurship of rural community are presented. Entrepreneurship implementation policy and it‘s promotion is analyzed, describing external and internal factors influencing entrepreneurship of rural communities. EU LEADER program and VVGassistance and support for development of entrepreneurship, good experience influencing expansion of the economy, competitiveness and Akmenė district employment improvement is reviewed. Empirical part reviews current entrepreneurship promotion situation of rural communities based on documents regulating activities of Akmenė district rural communities and VVG. Qualitative data collection method was chosen – semi-structures interview, content analysis, analytical tool (open and close interview questionnaire) was constructed. Using the tool, opinion of informants about Akmenė district rural communities entrepreneurship promotion implementationwas , factors and it‘s reasons, naming the lack of entrepreneurship implementation and spread. Assessment of research results determined that improvement of external factors requires most attention. Evaluating internal factors promoting entrepreneurship they were defined as average or good in entrepreneurship promotions system. Based on current situation of entrepreneurship promotion implementation policy in Akmenė district rural communities and analysis of informants, a hypothetical model for improvement of entrepreneurship promotion implementation policy in Akmenė district was prepared. |
