Abstract [eng] Urgency of the research. Quality of a lesson in general education schools is assessed based on the General programs of Lithuania which were started to renew as far back as from the moment of regaining the Independence. The main purpose of renewal of the programs is the fluctuation of educational paradigms, namely the transition from the paradigm of teaching to the paradigm of learning, i.e. from knowledge and understanding to the development of competences. The lessons observed by external assessors from the National School Assessment Agency, results of the researches in scientific literature show that the quality transition is rather problematic and the teaching paradigm still prevails in educational process. In order to improve quality of the lesson, it is necessary to apply methods, principles, etc. (pedagogic solutions related to didactics fluctuation) in school educational process conforming to philosophy of the learning paradigm as well as to organise the quality transition from the teaching paradign to that of learning with the application of self-evaluating of activities by the schools (managerial solutions). Object of research – evaluating lesson quality. Aim of the research – to analyse the quality assessment of a lesson from pedagogic and managerial aspect.
