Every higher school, regardless of its type, must have an internal quality management system (QMS). The work deals with the reasons for implementing a quality management system, profitability, arising problems. QMS structural elements are presented, which have to be not only implemented, but also emphasised in documents. Quantitative and qualitative QMS functioning indicators are highlighted as well, which should be publicly announced in order one can identify, how the QMS mechanism works. Quality improvement possibilities are presented as well. QMS are often created referring to ISO 9000 series of quality standards. Therefore, a special attention in the work is devoted to the examination of the standardised QMS application peculiarities. Seeking to reveal different attitudes due to QMS mechanism problems in higher non university schools, the scientists’, state institutions’ and legitimate problematic investigation is presented. Descriptive analytical research is carried out in the work. Research object – non university higher school quality management systems. Research aim is to analyse non university higher school management systems, from the point of view of their structure, functioning and development possibilities. Research methodology – during the research, the data was analysed, presented in non university higher school networking websites and the documents presented by colleges, covering the topics on quality management system. The data for the research was gathered between October and November, 2014. Totally, networking websites of all colleges working in Lithuania were analysed, 13 – state and 10 – non state and the documents presented in them. |
