Abstract [eng] The final work of master examined the influence of the factors for investment to the North-West regions of Lithuania, in order to disclose the regional differences among districts. There are presented the theoretical assumptions of the regional development: regions, essence of regional development, the interpretation of their theories, incentives and financing sources. The theoretical aspects of the investments and their impact on the regional development are also presented in the theoretical part of the paper: the conception of investments, classification, implementation targets, their impact on regional development, factors determining the investments attraction to the regions. Analytic part of the paper provides the 2004-2013 general economic analysis of the North-West regions of Lithuania, which is performed according to the chosen factors (GPD per capita, the average gross salary, export, the level of employment and unemployment). The constructive part of the paper analyzes the factors, which can have the impact to the investments’ attraction to the North-West regions of Lithuania. The formed hypothesis that social-economic indicators (GDP per capita, the average gross salary, export, the level of employment and unemployment) influence the attraction of the investments to the North-West regions of Lithuania is partially approved in the Master’s work.
