Abstract [eng] |
The thesis designed for the reconstruction of Pleistocene deposit structure and sedimentation conditions of Lithuania Maritime Region (LMR) based on available geological data – log descriptions, paleobotanical, geochronological, petrographical and mineralogical study results. According to these data the digital 3D model of Pleistocene deposit structure was compiled for LMR. Pleistocene sediments thickness, spread, surfaces of occurrence and stratigraphy are disclosed in LMR. For the stratigraphical subdivision and correlation of deposits the statistical canonical ordination was applied. The chronology and sedimentation conditions of till and inter-till deposits were interpreted. The thesis comprises 109 pages, 44 figures, 5 tables. |
