Abstract [eng] Qatar's Diplomatic Crisis: the Result of Small States Strategies or Region Dynamics? The title of this paper is ,,Qatar‘s diplomatic crisis: the result of small states strategies or region dynamics?“ In the first part the small states strategies are analyzed and presented. The second part focuses on Qatar‘s diplomatic crisis context and main events. The third part applies theoretical aspects of Qatar diplomatic crisis, as case analysis is used to understand what factors of Qatar‘s foreign/internal politics led to regional crisis. First of all the historical context of Qatar‘s action are described. It leads to analyzing the main problems leading to Qatar's diplomatic crisis. The results after the analysis of main aspects are presented in the third part. These factors let to evaluate that Qatar, as a small state, did not lead itself to appropriate survival strategy to ensure it‘s safety in the region. The main conclusion of this paper is that Qatar‘s actions were not suitable for reaching the best survival strategy in the region dynamics. Qatar has chosen difficult path, which was not reliable in the current regional situation. The result of the paper shows that small states must not rely only on their resources and must calculate their abilities as a country to act safe in the region and ensure it‘s survival.
