Informal musical education is the education of competences using acceptable to pupils, freely selected artistic activities including the satisfaction of self-expression needs, the education of a creative, able to communicate, self-confident and valuing an environment, full-fledged personality. Concert activities have a special meaning to the expression of vocal abilities and raising of a teenager’s self-confidence, the education of leadership characteristics. Having failed to realise appropriately the most relevant needs in the period of adolescence, it is possible to get undesired after-effects – a teenager’s low self-esteem, lack of self-confidence, hostility to an environment, criminal behaviour, etc. Any scientific researches, which would analyse the interaction between personal competences and self-esteem educated during concert activities as well as leadership, were not found. School events and the peculiarities of the organising thereof, which made influence on pupils’ organisational skills, were the most usually analysed.
