nvestment fund is a supply of capital belonging to numerous investors the management of which is referred to professional and licensed managers, and it is one of the most common forms of investment extremely popular in the USA and Western Europe‘s countries. The Master thesis evaluates the efficiency of investment funds marketable in Lithuania applying complex SAW method. Recently, multicriteria methods for investment fund efficiency evaluation are increasingly being applied. Analyzing the issues of investment fund efficiency their classification is firstly analyzedallowing revelationof the specifics of investment funds and taking into consideration various aspects important for evaluation and taking decisions of investment. The thesisdeals with share, fund of funds, money market, complex and real estate fund efficiency evaluation problematic taking into consideration the specifics of investment fund groups. Evaluating the efficiency of investment funds the criteria of return and risk are being analyzed: Changesin investment unit value, standard deviation, net return of investment, Sharpe Ratio. At the end of the study it appeared that each indicatorcalculated separately does not show the fundefficiency, therefore, the complex SAW method was chosen in the third part of the thesis. In the multicriteria evaluation method emphasis is laid on essential criteria identification, qualitative analysis and their complex evaluation.The evaluation of efficiency of investment funds marketable in Lithuania is made applying Simple Additive Weighting (SAW) method. Basic investment fund activity evaluation average criteria values wereestablished and their significance was evaluated. The opinion of the Experts of Lithuanian investment funds management was employed. The accomplished multicriteria evaluation results revealed that the best results within 2007-2013 were archived by „DNB likvidumo fondas“ . |
