Abstract [eng] Relevance. One of the significant features of the twenty-first century is different walks of life improvement, so it is important to look for new forms of ways to provide opportunities for human development, based on communication with life. In Lithuania there are processed, retrieved the old city parks, and new urban green areas. Parks activities related to educational opportunities can be defined as a learning opportunity for the natural environment and not only using certain training (learning), ways for rest of visitors ways (educational forms of expression). Pedagogical problem of this thesis is determined by the fact that the educational activities in the city parks is carried out in Lithuania, but still does not have a prevailing traditions, there is no experiences. In practice, often carried out in a more episodic in nature, there is no systematic approach to the opportunities offered by the parks for educational purposes. Object: city parks and educational activities and improvement of opportunities. Objective: In respect of Kuršėnai town park there was analyzed experience of the educational activities and provided the opportunities for improvement. The research is based on the following methodological elements: free education paradigm, where learning in non-traditional parks environment encourages the learner vigorous activity, which enables individuals to express themselves, which is important for the learner, as a new non-violent way of expertise. Constructivist approach to learning, where the learner constructs the experience and activities in the town parks guarantees these opportunities. Empirical research methods: theoretical analysis of literature, semi-structured interview, questionnaire online for town community, qualitative content analysis. Research sample: 145 respondents from 14 years. Master thesis consists of two parts, conclusions, a list of referente, 6 annexes. The work is illustrated by 14 pictures and 17 tables. Empirical research has led to flesh out the theoretical part of the thesis created parks educational opportunities for performance improvement theoretical model, highlighting the most important signs that the development of activities in the park for indispensable community needs, involvement in the planning, organization; park environmental exploitation multidisciplinary education (self-contained, experiential, formal and non-formal); inclusion of different sectors (NGOs, etc.).
