Abstract [eng] Theoretical analysis of the community knowledge on health strengthening has been conducted in the thesis. A hypothesis has been raised that community members have very little information on impact of their mode of life on health and its strengthening. A research has been conducted by means of an interview with questionnaires which aim was to ascertain the community members‘ knowledge on health strengthening. Systematic, comparative, logic analysis and synthesis of scientific literature was used for the analysis of impact of a mode of life on health and its strengthening. The reseach information was collected by the method of an interview with questionnaires. As the analysis of the research information was conducted, systematic, comparative, logic analysis and synthesis of the respondents‘ opinion along with tablemaking, graphic representation and statistical methods were applied. In total, one hundred women and eighty men residing in Kražiai took part in the research. Singularities of mode of life, health, health strengthening have been analysed in the empirical chapter. The most essential conclusions of the empirical research: 1. Familial, conduct and mode of life factors are the most critical to health of the community members and have the largest impact on their health condition. 2. It was established that the largest number of the respondents feels good and very good: ¾ of women and ¾ of men. 3. The hypothesis raised in the thesis that community members have very little information on impact of their mode of life on health and its strengthening has been justified. It is possible to state that the older the respondents, the more information they have comparing to the younger ones, however this information is insufficient.
