Abstract [eng] In the final master’s thesis are analyzed and are presented the results of the research about the leader’s behavior during the organization changes. There are described the basic concepts, are analyzed: the aspects of leadership and management, the leadership’s theories and styles, the leader’s behavior aspects, changes and difficulties. In the research are used the interview and questionnaires developed of the final master’s thesis author. The questionnaires and interview are created based on the analysis of scientific literature. The basic empirical information’s source was Lithuania’s members of liberal youth organization (129 respondents) and their leaders (9 respondents). Members of this organization were interviewed a questionnaire survey and their leaders – interview. The research results revealed that the leader of liberal youth are energetic, optimistic, extrovert, fun, open minder. The leader has negative personal qualities: dependent, strict, pride, unpunctual, self – centered. It was found that extrovert, activity, authority, organizational skills helps to lead and manage the changes for leader in organization. In contrast, emotional instability, pliability, self – sufficiency, not planning the time, laziness and not having an opinion disturbs to lead and manage the changes for leader in organization. It is supposed that the Lithuanian liberal youth organization’s (LLJ) leader faces with these changes: the change of members, leader, command, the new programs, the economic changes, the changes of organization structure and operational functions, organizations facelift. Also research results revealed that the leader faces with difficulties such as: lack of finances, increasing of workload, using of finances, not requirement of members for changes, emotional feeling of members, delicate interrelationship, members lack of initiative and responsibility, members passivity. Despite the changes and difficulties, leader adopts the changes, innovative. In order to lead and manage the changes efficiently, leader tends to improve their behavior. For example, leader tries to travel, learn, participate in seminars, projects, read the books and articles. The basic behavior’s aspects of leader during the change in organization are: owning opinion, communication with organization’s members, member’s involving into planning and implementation of change, giving new ideas to members, sharing information with members, encouraging members to improve theirs skill and adopt the changes. Also the results of research suggested that leader is trending to adopt the changes and improve their behavior. In the end, the conclusions and recommendations could be useful not only for the leader of Lithuanian liberal youth, but for non – governmental organization (NGO) leaders, managers who seek to improve their behavior during change in the organization. Also these conclusions and recommendations could be useful to organization members, who want to be leaders. The results of final master’s thesis about LLJ leader style of leadership was presented in the international conference “ Economics and management issues” of 15 young researchers at Siauliai university.
