In this final thesis has been theoretically analyzed adolescents coping stress feasibility in terms of social educational aspect. It is likely that girls usually overcome stress using productive coping behavior styles. The study was conducted using questionnaire survey with the objective – to reveal coping possibilities of adolescents in terms of social educational aspect. In order to evaluate coping behavior styles the ACS - Adolescent Coping Questionnaire - has been chosen. The study involved 249 respondents. Of these, 164 girls and 85 boys. The study was based on only one criterion - the respondents had to be aged 12 to 18 years. The questionnaire has revealed in which environment teenagers often experience anxiety and tension. Adolescents (boys and girls) stress coping options: used coping strategies and coping behavior styles were analyzed as well. The investigation has shown that girls more frequently experience anxiety and stress than boys. It has been found that older adolescents experience statistically more often anxiety and stress than younger teens. The aim was to find out in what kind of environment adolescents are particularly vulnerable to turbulent and tense feelings. It appeared that adolescents more often experience the above feelings at school. The results of empirical research revealed the boys and girls use coping strategies which stood out in terms of gender. In order to overcome stress girls more often tend to talk about their problems with others, seek the support of others, incline to take into account the opinions of others, are strongly concerned about their own and other future, more frequently inclined to believe in miracles, more often have a rigorous approach to yourself. Meanwhile, the boys having problems more often prefer to get involved in an active sport. The established adolescents stress coping strategies have revealed that girls are statistically use both of productive and unproductive coping styles of behavior more often than boys. |
