The project analyses the current situation of the volunteering activity in socio-educational environment, also aims to reveal expectations of its changes. Therefore problematic questions have been raised: what is the situation of volunteering activity in Socio-educational activity? What are possible expectations of the changes in socio-educational activity‘s environment? Objectives have been formed: 1) to reveal variables of volunteering activity in socio-educational environment by applying theoretical analysis; 2) to reveal social pedagogue assessment in current situation and expectation of changes due to volunteering activity in socio-educational environment by applying interview method; 3) to reveal structure of current situation and expectation of changes in volunteering activity in socio-educational environment by applying content analysis; 4) to reveal the evaluation of optimizing expectations of volunteering activities in socio-educational environment by applying expert survey. In the interview research have participated 6 social pedagogues who are working or one of their activities‘ functions are related to volunteers. They develop their activities in Pakruojis and Šiauliai cities. Experts’ evaluation included 10 specialists, who work with volunteers, coordinate their activities, mentor, prepare for volunteer activity, etc. The latter are working in Pakruojis, Šiauliai, Vilnius, Klaipėda and Kaunas cities. Empirical part analyzes the volunteering activity situation in socio-educational environment and possible expectations in its changes. It is related to possible development of volunteering activity and also the change of situation. Most important empirical conclusions: 1. During interviews factors describing the volunteering activity in socio-educational environment were mostly highlighted, which are positive and negative aspects of evaluation of Volunteer and one‘s performed activity. Another aspect is a positive evaluation of an influence of motives – inner and outer, on a wish to volunteer and gain knowledge and skills in socio-educational environment excluding the discouragement of the feeling of devotion. The third nuance lies in the volunteer’s personal features: political and religious beliefs, age, and cultural aspects – positive, negative and neutral impact on the quality of the functions performed by volunteering in socio-educational environment. Volunteer’s standards of respect and ethics are in compliance with other volunteers, chosen and persons whom are provided with volunteering aid, importance and also performance of communities’ responsibilities in socio-educational activity and it is also highlighted as common and characterizing the situation of voluntary activities in socio-educational environment. Also the significance and importance of the volunteer‘s existing knowledge and skills‘ application, feeling of responsibility and commitment and innovation in socio-educational environmental. 2. During interviews the information was received on nature of selection criteria and the selection itself as the importance of part of volunteering activity in socio-educational environment, volunteer’s training, the importance of preparation and the doubt in relevance of knowledge and preparation by volunteering in socio-educational environment; in the socio-educational environment the encounter with the harm made by volunteer and emotional consequences and also lack of it and possible prevention against it, unveils the possible expectations of the changes. 3. Data received during the experts‘ evaluation showed in which fields are seen the most notable expectations of changes. Also there have been noticed connections with the insights and assessments made by respondents and experts. Thus, the encounter with harm made by volunteers and emotional consequences and its absence and possible prevention in socio-educational environment, volunteer‘s training, the significance of preparation and also doubt in relevance of knowledge and preparation while volunteering in socio-educational environment, volunteer‘s personal factors: political and religious beliefs, age, cultural aspects – positive, negative and neutral impact on quality of performed functions in socio-educational environment are aspects which‘s target change can be seen most notably. |
