| Abstract [eng] | The problem of counting the number of roots on real line was solved long time ago. However, a similar problem of counting roots on a unit circle is still open. This work reviews Sturm’s method used to count roots on real line, presents proofs and examples to reduce the problem of roots on unit circle to the problem of counting roots on real line in general case and special cases. This work is based on an article by K. Conrad. |
