Abstract [eng] This study is the first of its kind in Lithuania to explore reflexivity in the context of psychotherapy supervision. Supervision is held to be an essential requirement for learning and profesional development, especially within professions working with other individuals. In many parts of the world psychotherapy supervision is considered to be the most effective skill-maitenance process for psychotherapists. Reflexivity is held as central and most important psychoterapists’ skill. But there is no answer what specifically enhances and what decreases reflexivity during supervision process. The aim of this study is to uncover and describe men and women’s experiences of reflexivity in Existential therapy supervision. It’s a qualitative longitudinal study. The data was analyzed according principles of Interpretative Phenomenological Analysis. The research is made up of two stages. The research sample consisted of 8 research participants (4 women and 4 men) at the first stage of the research ant 7 research participants (3 women and 4 men) at the second stage of the research. The analysis of the participants’ experiences of reflexivity in Existential therapy supervision revealed that although most of the factors developing and inhibiting reflexivity in supervision process are common to both genders, there also some differences that became apparent in both the first and the second stage of the study.
