Abstract [eng] The reality represented in documentaries often leads to a public dissatisfaction due to film‘s form and idea, which questions personal values and superficial interpretation of the film rising from the norms of social society. All of this raises ethical issues and the questioning of documentaries in an ethical sense. Due to the controversial scenes and the lack of scientific analysis on this documentary trilogy in general, the trilogy "They Call Us Misfits" created by Swedish film director Stefan Jarl was chosen as a research object for this master's thesis. Much-criticized director in the trilogy creates a very interesting field of research, related to the representation of death, social problems, sex, addictions, prostitution, social exclusion, and crime. Research question in the master's thesis is: How the structure and choices of an individual's consciousness is formed and influenced by an individual's confrontation with the order and institutions of society? In order to answer this question, Jacques Lacan's psychoanalytic theory of ethics was chosen as the theoretical basis, and neoformalist film analysis together with documentary modes analysis were chosen for the method. The results of "They Call Us Misfits" trilogy analysis revealed the important role of the director, transformation of the structure of consciousness of social actors, the complex process of subjects' attempt to enter the public order and the ethical positions of subjects in a psychoanalytical context.
