Abstract [eng] Every individual is focused on improving the quality of their life in one way or another. Driven by these goals, some individuals develop their skills, build relationships and various connections, join social groups, while other individuals, on the contrary, avoid any contact and do not participate in the life of the community or the state. The topic of welfare remains relevant. However, each individual evaluates the quality of life differently. Therefore, the question arises - what determines and influences someone’s satisfaction with life? A person's life satisfaction can influence their family, organization, society, and state, because each of these things is in turn created by the individuals. The research problem is that there is a lack of studies based on recent data to determine and evaluate what factors can influence someone‘s life satisfaction. The object of this study is life satisfaction. In this study life satisfaction and the factors that may or may not affect it are investigated. In the empirical part of the study, a three-part quantitative study of the secondary data of the European Social Survey 2020 is carried out. Statistical data is analysed, and it is determined whether or not there exists a connection, what kind of connection it is, and the strength of the effect it has. The conclusions of said study are as follows: the hypothesis that there is a relationship between life satisfaction and education or work status was partially confirmed. The relationship between education and life satisfaction is statistically insignificant, and a strong relationship is found only between life satisfaction and work status.
