The main goal of this master's thesis: to evaluate the factors of effective digitization of business information for small and medium-sized businesses. The work consists of three main parts: literature analysis of business information digitization factors, quantitative research by interviewing representatives of small and medium-sized businesses and qualitative research, experience management using business information systems in the organization. The literature analysis reviews the concept of information quality and its classification, introduces business analytics and the value it creates. ERP and CRM systems are compared, and what similar and at the same time different functions these systems have are described. The value created by information technology for business information is also mentioned. Quantitative research examines the quality of information, the value provided by analytical tools, and the user-friendliness of IS. The influence on the quality of information, the use of analytical tools and the "friendliness" of information systems during the digitization of business information is considered. It is checked how the quality of information, the "friendliness" of information systems for the user and the value created by analytical tools can contribute to the effective factors of digitalization of business information. In order for the factors of business information digitization to be successful, the study aims to investigate the relationships between three independent variables and one dependent variable, according to which the research concept model was developed. These are the quality of information, the value created by analytical tools, the clear use of information systems for the user, the factors of effective digitization . Revealing and elucidating the relationships between these variables would allow us to understand the effective digitization factors and key issues that would help small and medium-sized businesses to effectively digitize business information. The responses were analyzed using the SPSS Statistics program. Qualitative research investigates experience management using business information systems in an organization. The purpose of the study is to determine good practice guidelines for managing business information with digital tools. Qualitative research was multifaceted. Both companies did not want company names to be used in this thesis, so the company that was interviewed live is referred to as Company X in this thesis, and the other company that was interviewed remotely as Company Y. The responses provided by the companies were analyzed through comparative analysis. The conclusions and recommendations summarized the main concepts of the literature analysis and the results of the conducted research. The author believes that the results of the study could provide small and medium-sized businesses with useful tips for digitizing business information. |
