Abstract [eng] The implementation of business management systems is the first stage of transformation into a smart environment. Digitization not only creates conditions for innovation development, competitiveness, but also imposes new requirements on Business Management Systems and their implementation. These changes were caused by the Industrial Revolution 4.0, the Covid-19 pandemic, which accelerated the digitization and transformation of organizations what led to an urgent reorientation of activities so that business management systems could be implemented remotely. The situation forced to look for an alternative way to implement a business management system. The work model is changed from contact to remote work model, project works are transferred to the digital space. Problem: what factors have become important in the implementation of business management systems in the context of digital transformation? The aim of the research is to identify the factors of the implementation of business management systems in the context of digital transformation. Objectives: based on the analysis of the scientific sources, analyze the concept of business management systems and implementation and identify the success and failure factors of business management system implementation, to examine the concept, features, models of digital transformation, to identify the process of implementing business management systems in the context of digital transformation, to analyze the change of the business management systems implementation project in the context of digital transformation, to empirically investigate the factors of the implementation of business management systems in the context of digital transformation in Lithuanian companies, to present conclusions and recommendations based on the analysis of the results of the research and insights sources. In the Master's thesis the theoretical and empirical research methods have been applied. In the theoretical part of the research, complex research methods such as the systematic critical analysis of scientific literature has been done; the deduction method has been used to formulate new statements; the induction method has been applied by assigning similar characteristics to the analyzed object; in order to find coincidences of the considered phenomena, the analogy has been used. To achieve objectivity, the following empirical research methods have been used: quantitative, survey analysis method, which made it possible to draw conclusions from the point of view of the analyzed object and a qualitative method of interview analysis. Results: 1. Business management systems are software that allows to automate company processes. Success factors: top management support, information sharing between departments, communication, relationship between seller and client, project management approach/competent team. Failure factors: inconsistencies between IT and business strategies, lack of help from the supplier, inability to identify risks, manage the project. 2. Digital transformation is a process of organizational change based on digital solutions, remote work, implementation of decisions and projects remotely, which are determined by information technologies.3. The digital transformation is caused by the Covid-19 pandemic, which acted as the key factor in changing the work model to a remote by implementing business management systems in the context of digital transformation. 4. Business management system implementation projects in the context of digital transformation have changed and become important in this period, which is likely to remain important in the future.5. In the empirical study, the factors of the implementation of business management systems in the context of digital transformation has been analyzed. The results of the study revealed that the key factors are the engagement of a team, communication, and management support.
