Abstract [eng] |
The work consists of 73 pages, 31 tables, 4 images, 70 source references. The purpose of this master thesis is to evaluate the relationship between the impact of work involvement, the stress experienced at work and individual work performance. The chosen research methods were analysis of scientific literature, structured quantitative survey, all data was systematized and displayed with the help of descriptive statistics. IBM SPSS Statistics (Statistical Package for the Social Sciences) software version 29.0 was used for processing the received research data. With the help of SPSS, the reliability coefficient of Cronbach's alpha value of the selected constructs and the normality of the data were calculated by the Kolmogorov-Smirnov and Shapiro-Wilk tests. Statistical analysis was performed using T-Test and One-Way ANOVA test. Linear regression analysis was performed to determine the relationship between variables. A.F. Hayes PROCESS version 3.5 additional plug-in for SPSS was used for mediation analysis and mediating relationships between the selected variables were determined. The master thesis has five chapters. The first three chapters present an analysis of scientific literature. The first chapter examines the essence of stress at work, its causes and coping strategies. The second chapter examines the concept of work engagement and the determinants of work engagement. The third chapter examines the performance of individual work, its concept and features. The last part of the third chapter examines the relationship between stress at work, work engagement and individual job performance. The fourth chapter presents the methodology of work engagement as a mediator of the relationship between perceived stress at work and individual work performance. This chapter lists the hypotheses developed, discusses the research methodology, and develops the research model under which the study was conducted. The fifth part of this work consists of the discussion and summarization of the results of the statistical calculations. This study found that stressful work had a positive relationship with work engagement. As one variable increases, so does the value of the second variable. It was established that involvement at work has a positive effect on individual work performance. The results show that there is a positive relationship between perceived stress at work and individual job performance. Also, a mediating relationship of work engagement between job stress and individual job performance was found. The results also show that work engagement is a mediator between stress at work and task performance and contextual behavior. However, the hypothesis of engagement as a mediator between job stress and counterproductive behavior was not confirmed. At the end of this thesis, the conclusions and suggestions are presented that can improve the work culture of organizations. It also provides some insights for the managers of the organizations and employees of human resources departments. |
