Abstract [eng] |
The aim of research work: to analyze the validity of three – dimensional gait analysis systems evaluating gait parameters in children with cerebral palsy. Tasks of work: 1. To systematize literature sources that evaluate the validity of three – dimensional gait analysis systems in assessing gait parameters of children with cerebral palsy. 2. To evaluate the validity of three – dimensional gait analysis systems based on systematized literature sources in assessing gait parameters of children with cerebral palsy. Materials and methods: The research of scientific articles was performed in accordance with the PRISMA 2020 strategy for searching systematic reviews of literature or meta – analyses of scientific sources. After applying the inclusion and exclusion criteria, the search for scientific sources was performed in two databases: Web of Science (Clarivate Analytics) and PubMed (Medline) databases. In order to perform the extraction of scientific publications, three search lines were entered in each of these two databases (identical lines without changing the order, word sequence, punctuation marks). Sources were inspected and selected by entering these three search lines in databases: 1. Three – dimensional gait analysis cerebral palsy 2. Three – dimensional gait analysis validity 3. Three – dimensional gait analysis validity cerebral palsy 11 full – text scientific articles meeting the inclusion criteria were included in this systematic review. The analysis of the main characteristics of all scientific publications and the analysis of the main characteristics of the research subjects were performed. The initial quality evaluation of scientific sources was performed (according to the Cochrane Collaboration’s updated quality assessment tool ROB2). Evaluating the ranges of validity criteria for three – dimensional gait analysis systems specified in each scientific article, analysis about the results was performed. Results: The analysis of 11 scientific articles revealed that various and innovative three – dimensional gait analysis systems are valid measurements for the patiens with cerebral palsy. Compatibility of all different motion test systems with already validated tools demonstrates different assessment of their validity: some of the measures analyzed in this systematic literature review can accurately estimate many gait parameters, while others can only estimate a few. However, all motion assessment systems analyzed in the scientific researches are valid test methods to examine at least a few gait parameters of the patiens. Conclusions: 1. In total 11 scientific articles have been systematized from the Web of Science and PubMed databases evaluating the validity of three – dimensional gait analysis systems. 2. All motion assessment systems which have been analyzed in this systematic literature review are valid tools for investigating at least a few gait parameters: A. For reliable results gait parameters can be examined by 3-D camera for iPad, smartphone camera application (SCA) and inertial measurement units (IMUs). B. Motion evaluation equipment such as Microsoft Kinect system V2, piezoelectric accelerometer, wireless gait assessment toll Wi – GAT and digital camera describes poor, average and excelent validity of the devices evaluating different gait performance indicators, therefore these systems require further researches in the future. |
