The adaptation of a new worker is an urgent issue for the Heads of institutions seeking for efficient activities of their companies, better workforce productivity and workers' satisfaction with their status. Successfully adapted teacher can not only realize him/herself in professional activities, but he/she can also render the qualitative services to the users, i.e. a child and his/her parents (guardians). It is especially important that a competent, motivated and successfully adapted educator could work in a pre-school institution, because a pre-school institution the first educational institution for a child after his/her family. The research was conducted at the request of the Centre for Education Development. One of the aims of this research was the determination of adaptation problems of young teachers. The research also studied the teachers' attitude to the first working year at school. The research did not focus on a deep analysis of young teachers' adaptation problems in pre-school institutions. Basing on the above-mentioned aspects the research author studied the difficulties of young teachers working in pre-school institutions and graduated from Šiauliai University Educational Studies at the beginning of their work. The object of the research. Managing of the beginnerteachers adaptation. Hypothesis. It is supposed that young teachers experience difficulties during their adaptation process in pre-school institutions. The aim of the research.To analyze managing of the beginner teachers adaptation in pre - school educational institutions. The analysis of documents showed that educational differentiation and individualization was the main problem for young teachers. They experience the lack of knowledge in planning and organization of physical training, working with children with special educational needs and when choosing the educational means and methods. The analysis of young teachers' opinion revealed the benefit of mentor's availability. The analyzed difficulties and reasons of young teachers' professional adaptation in pre-school institutions, as well as the ways of possible support, allowed preparing recommendations for higher educational institution and pre-school institutions. |
