Abstract [eng] Informal teaching, an integrate part of the educational system, exsisting in parallel with formal teaching, is continuous revelation of natural powers, various skills and inclinations in a young person, satisfaction of cognitive interests, development of creativity, fostering of cultural values, having purposeful leisure, sefl-realisation and prevention of crimes. In order that singe-minded activity of informal teaching with which it is striven to develop a conscious personality talking an active part in public life, becomes purposeful and reaches its goal, the quality is of agreat significance. Therefore, aspects determining the quality of informal teaching (activity availability, organization, personnel) have been analysed in this master thesis. Object of the research is the quality of informal teaching in a school of general development. Objective of the research is to establish the quality of informal teaching in a school of general development, when assessing attitudes of informal teaching service receiver (pupils) and service providers (instructors), to foresee the quality improvement possibilities for informal teaching. In order to achieve this objective, the following goal have been set: 1) referring to scientific literature and documents, to define a concept of quality, conceptions of quality of informal eaching; 2) to ascertain and compare the attitude towards the quality of informal teaching in a school of general development , referring to the poll conducted among pupils and instructors; 3) to define the aspects for improvement of the quality of informal teaching in a school of general developmet; 4) according to the conclusions of comparative analysis performed, to provide recommendations to instructors or the schools which took part in the poll. In the course of the research, two types of the research were applied: descriptive and activity. Methods of the research: scientific, methodical literature, educational, analysis of documents of the school which took part in the poll, pupil questionnaires, structural questionnaires, structural questionnaire for school instructors responsible for informal teaching. The research was conducted in two schools of Kėdainiai district, 161 pupil and 2 instructors responsible for informal education from the above mentioned school took part in the poll. Results of the research that a half of respondents take part in the activities of informal teaching and a lager number of those select different activities at their school. In order to ensure the organisation quality of informal teaching, school instructors should pay more attention to permanent updating of informal teaching activities, larger selection of different activities and improvement of material base.
