Abstract [eng] There has been a huge concern lately in regards to the particularity of emotional problems, low social and psychological adaptiveness and poorly developed social behavior skills. Unfortunately, social forecasts do not show any indications that these problems will be less important in the near future. On the contrary, as the number of asocial families and extramarital kids increase, they are becoming more and more relevant, thus, prompting orphanages to seek comprehensible solutions, more efficient ways to work with children from in a child care home. New ways how to help these kids to absorb models for positive social behavior by choosing more effective upbringing methods and reinforcing their social connections with other individuals have to be laid out. It is important to analyze the root causes of inadequate behavior (i.e. what role does the institution itself plays in child‘s aggressiveness, how loss of a family affect, where behavioral crisis is most prominent, etc.) in order to understand the characteristics of unsatisfactory adolescent behavior. Study object: senior teenager behavior crisis in a child care home. Study objective: analyze senior teenager from child care home psychological problems causing behavioral crisis, anticipate solutions. Study approach: a quantitative study was performed among childcare institution residents and employees in order to figure out their perspectives on behavioral crisis and possible support mechanisms. Total of 50 teachers and 86 adolescents between ages 14-18 were surveyed in three childcare institutions in Siauliai district. Questionnaire survey and analysis of science fiction excerpt was used complete study approach and confirm/reject the hypothesis. It was determined that behavioral crisis is a common phenomenon among senior teenagers in childcare institutions. This is regardless all the prevention measures taken, including events where teens learn social skills needed to address behavioral crisis, because teenagers rarely participate or are just passive participants. The study outcomes suggest that teachers’ lack of knowledge on senior teenager behavioral crisis might be root cause of it. A lot of teachers are incompetent and unqualified to deal with senior teenager behavioral crisis, its prevention and intervention.
