Abstract [eng] The master 's thesis analyzes the peculiarities of the application of criminal liability of minors to young adults (adults). The work examines international, European Union and national legislation, as well as the doctrine and conclusions of scientists. The case law is important because it distinguishes court decisions regarding the application or non-application of Article 81 (2) of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Lithuania. Chapter XI of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Lithuania is analyzed. Many scholars agree that juvenile justice is a specific part of general criminal responsibility. Also specific is the subject - a minor, who is defined by physical and psychological characteristics, as well as signs of age and social maturity. While writing the master's thesis, it has been observed that the offenses committed by minors and young adults are similar in nature and peculiarities, which are determined by the young age of the perpetrators and the lack of social maturity. Analyzing the case law, was noticed that the courts apply Article 81 (2) of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Lithuania with extreme caution and sluggishness. Given the foreign and German legal and legal framework, there is a marked difference in the incidence of juvenile delinquency among young adults. It is concluded that this difference is due to the establishment of specialized youth courts and judges in Germany.
