The master's thesis analyzes the influence of social media in employment legal relations, manifested for the purposes of forming the image of the external, internal channel of the company or organization, the employee and the employer. The paper analyzes the significance of social media for the search for future employees, identifies threats to social media and possible violations of a person's right to privacy, data protection, the business reputation of a legal person and the person's honor and dignity. The topic is analyzed and disclosed on the basis of the most significant legal acts, the conclusions made by scientists in the doctrine, and the explanations provided by the practice of the Republic of Lithuania and foreign courts. The relevance of the topic discussed in this work is characterized by the fact that the uncertainty of the application of social media raises various questions about its proper use for both employees and employers. The aim of the work is to study and determine the significance of how social media can be used in employment legal relations, to analyze the impact of social media on future employees, to identify risks, threats, the content of possible violations of personal privacy, data protection. Aspects that may damage the business reputation of a legal person or the honor and dignity of a person shall also be examined. The topic of the work is revealed on the basis of interpretations and examples of national courts and the European Court of Human Rights and other foreign courts in order to illustrate the current problems and possible solutions of social media. |
