Abstract [eng] The master paper analyses process, procedural and limitation periods. The topic is revealed by analysing the case-law and trying to find out, how to correctly determine certain periods. Firstly, the paper analyses the periods in the labour law, it is attempted to find out how the periods are determined, calculated and applied. The rules of calculation of the periods are the same for all periods, therefore it is important to analyse how the periods should be calculated correctly. By analysing the present topic of the master’s paper, it is attempted to find out how process, procedural and limitation periods are determined, applied, also, whether there is a possibility to renew these periods. The paper also aims to find out how to distinguish process periods and periods of prescription of action, procedural and process, limitation periods and periods of prescription of action. The analysis of the rules of distinguishing of these periods is aimed at finding out how the periods should be qualified correctly. It is important to determine the rules of distinguishing of the terms, because there are situations, when it is not clear what is the type of the period. Process, procedural and limitation periods in labour law are established only in one article of the Labour Code, therefore the main task of the master’s paper is to analyse process, procedural and limitation periods, and to find out how these periods are determined and applied. The topic of the master’s paper is analysed by using the case-law and it is aimed at analysing these types of periods in as much detail as possible. The analysed topic is important as every party to the employment relationships uses certain periods for the performance of certain actions, therefore it is important to know how process, procedural and limitation periods are applied.
