This master's thesis analysis the information on selections for the position of a career civil servant until the amendment of 1st of January 2019 and layout of the Law on the Civil Service that took place on the 1st of july 2017, as well as data on the duties of public sector employees before the entry into force of the new Labor Code on the 1st of July 2017. The contents of the current legal regulations for the selection of career civil servants and public sector employees are disclosed. The advantages and disadvantages of this regulation are identified. Suggestions for improving the selection for the civil service are presented. |
