The purpose of this paper is to analyze what factors causes work stress for managers of Lithuanian companies. In the theoretical part of the paper, the literature of Lithuanian and foreign authors about the causes, sources (stressors), consequences for an individual of managers work stress is analyzed. Also, the connections between leadership styles and types of stress are presented.In the empirical part of the paper, a managers’ survey, which was conducted in Šiauliai, Vilnius and Joniškis, is described. After completing the survey and analyzing the data, certain patterns could be revealed: managers are mostly resistant to work stress. Results show that managers are not influenced by most of the stressors discussed in the theoretical part of the paper. |
