Abstract [eng] The theoretical work of the upper middle classes with special educational needs pupils in mainstream schools, the mathematical analysis of literacy. Raised in the defendant's argument that the average special educational needs of pupils with learning based on a pragmatic approach to promote mathematical literacy in practical application. Questionnaire survey method was conducted with the aim - to reveal the upper middle classes with special educational needs of students with mathematical literacy skills in mainstream schools. The statistical (descriptive frequencies, arithmetic mean, standard deviation) data analysis. The study included 113 Lithuanian general education schools, high school math teacher, developing special educational needs of students with average and four special educational needs of pupils studying in mainstream schools in class VIII. The empirical section is to determine the Class VIII students with special educational needs of medium-sized, practical application of mathematical literacy performance. The main empirical findings: • It appears that the most educated of mathematical activity are the figures and calculations, measurements and measurements. This alone is not enough to convey students to the students of these activities is not only aware, but also understand the need to develop and improve their knowledge and understanding, mathematical communication, mathematical thinking, problem solving, ability to learn and interest in mathematics. • According to educators, students acquire the mathematics classroom working, social skills, the opportunity to express themselves in practice, it is important to teach students to reason and discussion, it is necessary to do quite a lot of skill exercises, it is important that the students themselves as more attempts, investigated, discovered. • Pupils with special educational needs of medium-sized, have learned to apply mathematical knowledge in practice, took note of the issues (salaries, taxes, banks, hire purchase, etc..) which are useful in their life situations, in practice. All activities of the study participants gained new experiences, abilities and skills, learn new skills in practice, because this type of action research is appropriate to continue in the future.
