Master‘s thesis „Forest Management: Situation and Development Trends“ issue of public forest management models with the advantages and disadvantages. Master thesis was to investigate the characteristics of forestry, specific of forest management, forest management models, and to set the development policies of the state forestry management at the Republic of Lithuania. Analysis of scientific literature and empirical research has confirmed the hypothesis that the management of state forests in Lithuania under an integrated management model for ensuring the implementation of forest-based functions. Recommended Lithuanian state forest management development directions are: to develop and adopt forest enterprises, to enhance the value of assets under management and profitability, improve performance of state forestry, development of profitable activities such as hunting, recreation activities, timber shipping, the total IT system for the coordination of joint marketing, circular timber and performing internal audit. |
